Billy's 2nd Day Choices

Saturday will most likely be my favorite day of the meet. Stardom Bound is running and she may be the horse that gets me back into loving the race horse. I feel like she's my Winning Colors. Even if she doesn't run in the Derby - she makes me feel like a kid again. I don't love her new connections like I did Eugene Klein, D. Wayne Lukas and Gary Stevens. Ok I didn't LOVE them but I was in awe of them.

So the 2nd day of Keeneland's meet includes the Grade 1 Ashland S. for 3-year-old fillies. It will be Stardom Bound's first start outside of California. It most likely will be the only time I get to see her race in person - because I don't get out much (of the state). So I'll be there to cheer her on, as well as her sire Tapit, the farm he stands at - Gainesway
(shout out to a client), the place she was born Loch Lea Farm (shout out to a friend) and of course, to cheer on excitement and passion.

Already my trying to make every day has been flawed - I'll miss Sunday to be out of town but one must always make sacrifices for others. I will however, make my picks and put them online. If my picks start showing that I suck as handicapper for the public - I'll throw on the breaks quicker than I can shave my head. (that's not real quick btw).

Sorry I'm late on this, I have been very busy. Don't feel too bad about Stardom Bound running third. Proud Spell did too in this race and came back to win the Oaks. Stardom Bound is already a champion in her own right. And she gave a lot of pride and joy to her first owner before he passed away. Don't ever forget the human connections to the horses we love. I always root for Affirmed descendants (Sam P.), is not Pletcher's 3 year old Affirmatif a half to Chitoz (totally from memory, might have this confused with another horse)
